An odd allegory.
I am not sure how to review this. I bought the book a few years ago and never got around to reading it until now. I had the opportunity to hear Kay Arthur speak about 10 years ago, and I have loved her Bible studies and teachings, but this book fell somewhat short of my expectations. As reading, Israel, My Beloved

Isn't this the one that gives Israel the name "Sarah" ?
I read this about, oh, 5 years ago, so I may not be remembering accurately. But at times it seemed pretty ...racy, I guess!
Then again, not for nothing does God call idolatry "whoredom" - and isn't it James who calls believers "adulterers and adultresses" when we love the world more than we love God?
In spite of some of the raciness, Israel, My Beloved did help me visualize the overall picture.
